How the club works

The whisky club is for those who appreciate whisky and who want to learn more about whisky in a relaxed, informal environment. It's a group of like minded individuals who are not ready to take whisky too seriously but who want to find out more about whisky.

The "How it works" is subject to change once agreed on by the founding members

• There are no set meetings - time and place depend on who is hosting the meeting
• There are no subscription fees

• To join, contact whiskyclubjhb@gmail.com and request information on the next available meeting
• Meetings are subject to a per meeting fee to cover whisky to be purchased
• Whisky to be tasted depends on funds raised per meeting
• Meetings are hosted by memebers based on time and place that suits the, (preferably at a house on a Saturday)
• Food/snacks are served at the discretion of the host
• The host must provide appropriate whisky tumblers, ice/water, tasting notes and is responsible for purchasing whisky
• Hosts are responsible for co-ordinating their meeting but will be assist by the group blog and email.
• Stock from meetings can be carried over for enjoyment by members after tasting, in the company of other members (under the guidance of Terri Gower)
